Health and Safety

Your safety is everyone’s responsibility — and so is your recovery.
Training doesn’t mean grinding people into the floor. An injured or exhausted student is a liability to themselves and to others. We train hard, but we train smart — with long-term sustainability, consent, and care at the core.

In practice:

  • Tapping early and accepting taps without pressure.

  • Checking in before contact drills, especially with new or unfamiliar students.

  • Encouraging rest, proper warmups, and setting boundaries around pain.

  • Staying aware of your own physical and mental state — and taking responsibility for communicating your needs before they become risks.
